Thank you for your interest in Northern Calvert Fury softball, an advanced skills development program. For a player selected for this team, our goal is to provide her with quality instruction and a positive, productive and enjoyable learning and social experience.
The purpose of this team is to enhance the player’s overall softball experience with (1) opportunity, (2) highest quality training available and (3) competition. The aim is a roster of 12-14 committed players. Players get out of this learning experience what they put into it. In the winter we train indoors. When the weather improves we move outdoors, usually on Sundays. In the fall, the goal is to play in at least on
e tournament in September, October and November. In the spring/summer, the goal is one tournament in March, one in April, one in May, two in June, and one to two tournaments in July. Tournaments are typically 2-day events (some are three days, usually on holidays). One to two tournaments may require staying overnight (good fun for players and families). We also play some pick up games against other travel teams. These are typically Sunday doubleheaders.
